Can you replace a laptop with an iPad?

        The bigger question is can an iPad really replace a laptop? Meaning can an iPad do everything that a normal laptop can do? Some might question it and say yes, while others say no it can not. The only trouble with an iPad is that it is only based on apps and when the developer no longer updates their app it no longer works. That is the downside to using an iPad as a computer. 
        If you take the iPad Pro, for example, Apple claims that it can do what a computer can do and that it has enough power as a computer.

      Now the iPad Pro you can use more stuff with USB-C by connecting different stuff with the iPad. People have used it for drawing and handwriting notes with the Apple Pencil. Let me tell you where Apple got that wrong....the Apple Pencil only works with Apple products and not all devices support it. Now it sounds like a great thing to use but do you really want to have a pencil that you can only use on Apple products or do you want a pencil that can be used on lots of devices? Ok, some people want to stick with Apple by using Apple-based products. I see no problem in that but in the end using Apple Pencil only limits you. That being said an iPad Pro can cost as much or more than a normal standard laptop but is still cheaper than Apple's iMac and MacBooks. 

      This not just mumble jumble I am throwing out there. There are upsides and downsides to replacing a laptop with an iPad. I am going to compile a list of things that a laptop can do that an iPad can’t. 

1. Keeping outdated programs

Now if you install a program that a certain developers stop supporting you can still keep them on your computer with no problem.  

2. Play as many games as you want

You might be thinking....what a minute....you can play loads of games on your iPad. Well, what I mean is that tho you can play lots of games on your iPad you can't play certain games that allow you to play more freely like Sims 4. 

3. Have more storage without paying more 
Apple selects an iPad for you to buy plus buying the iPad with the storage you want. Now if you want a computer with more storage companies are not gonna make you choose to pay more. They are usually making you pay more for a laptop because of it being more powerful or a better processor. Apple makes you pay more just for the storage not for what’s in the iPad itself. 

4. Having limited storage for certain things
Companies have made wireless hard drives where you can add your stuff from your computer and view it on an iPad. You can't, however, put stuff from an iPad to a hard drive...items such as games. Games can only be stored on an iPad. Plus movies and shows can't be downloaded to a hard drive either.

   Apple is trying so hard to make their iPads be a laptop replacement but they will always fall one step short. Now if you never had a laptop before and want something without even buying a computer then buy an IPad. Companies even tried so hard to break away from a laptop system and go with a netbook that only allows you to use the internet and maybe type with a word document program. You can make up your own mind if you want a laptop or an iPad or rather replace your laptop with an iPad.

Sims 4 Parenthood

 

                   If you guys are not familiar with sims 4 of the sims game actually then you won't know what this new game pack is about. Basically the sims is about playing as a sims and making your sims do whatever they want to do or get them to do. You can build houses and other types of buildings. The sims 4 is just the base game which is you get a few items and stuff but if you want more items and game play you will need to buy stuff packs, expansion packs, and game packs.
                The sims 4 game pack called sims 4 Parenthood is all about parenting. For the first time in the sims you can actually control and teach your kids stuff. Plus just like in real life you can be a bad kid or what not. The sims 4 Parenthood requires you to buy the base game first in order for this to work. This pack will be sold separate. You can now actually give your kids advice and be mean or sweet to your kids if you want. Before kids couldn't do much and before the toddlers when the toddlers were added the toddlers couldn't do much but now they can.

                           Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack comes out May 30 world wide!

The Love for art

           In the past few years since I was in the 7th grade I had the love for art and all the great things about art. I really started to love art since I saw the painting of the Red Cannas by Georgia O'Keeffe and when I saw this painting in my school art book I just fell in love with it. The colors are so amazing and the way the red goes different direction  and the orange in the background is just pretty. I have never seen a Red Cannas flower before but this painting is not like the flower just the colors. Also the way the colors just explode on the painting. I also like how the purple and pink colors blend in well with the reds, yellow, and oranges. If you really think about it those colors are colors that are a like, like in or make up the same color. Pink is just a lighter red. In some form or another they match.

               I recently got an art book filled with her wonderful art work. She did so many amazing art work of flowers and its just plain old flowers its flowers with beautiful colors done in the most exquisite way. Just beautiful colors. If you know art the first thing you might notice is the color and how the artist uses the colors. Since getting the art book it made me love more of her art work and a lot of them were flowers. If you look at her paintings you knew she painted them and that their hers by the way she used the colors.

            There different types of art from digital design, fashion design, crafting, photography, painting, sculpting, and so much more. There is a game called sw where you can do some digital design and draw on the computer. Its not very hard but it is kind of hard to be really good at it.

Janette Oke and Measure of a Heart

                  Janette Oke is a Christian Fiction author who is from Canada and has sold over 30 million books. Her first book series is called love comes softly and has become so popular that Hallmark channel made several movies about the books. One of her books is called Measure of a Heart.

                This book is a great book because its about a woman who finishes the 8th grade and being the only woman in her family to do so at the age of 16 years old. She visits her minister to bring them some milk from her farm and realizes that her pastor and his wife aren't home. So she meets the pastor filling in for the summer. The girl named Anna Trent asks to borrow the young pastor's books since she loves to read and learn. She borrows his books and when the summer is over she is sad his books are leaving him. The pastor gives her the books to borrow over the mail and he finally realizes that he loves her after they got to know each other and he makes him think about stuff he never knew. Anna finally marries the pastor and learns how to be a pastor's wife. 

               Its a really great book and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good book to read. 

The best Backstreet Boys Concert ever!!!

      On June 7th, 2014 I went to my first ever concert. It was the most amazing concert ever. I went to see Backstreet Boys at Starlight Theater. Ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted to see them in concert and now I have. The thing that I liked the most was when they were dancing, I've always seen them dance on tv but never in real life so to see that was just amazing. Brian's son Baylee sung some songs and he is really good. He is like a mini version of his dad. They sung some of the classics like I want it That a Way and Quit Playing Games With (My Heart).  Plus some other favorites like As Long As You Love Me, All I Have to Give, Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely, We've Got it Goin On, The Call and more. They sung some new songs from their album In a World Like This including Love Somebody, In a World Like This, Breathe, Madeline, and Show Em' What You're Made of. The one song that they did was 10,000 Promises which they hardly do but wanted to show that they aren't a boy band but just a band. They aren't a boy band but a pop vocal group which there is a difference. That is just a stereotype by calling them a boy band. Don't put them in the same category has Wrong Direction.

The Story of Princess Caprice

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess and her name was Caprice Winter. She lived in a big palace in Austria. Her mother told her that she would be married to a prince but it was not Caprice’s choice it was her mother’s choice. Caprice knew that she could not love anyone she did not know or cared for. Caprice’s mother was trying to please the people of Austria and their law. Caprice wanted to marry a man that she loved not someone who she knew nothing about.

 One day Caprice told her mother that she was only going to marry someone if she fell in love first. Caprice wanted to make her mother happy but still please the people of Austria. She knew that it was just too much. Caprice ran away in the middle of the night to another far away kingdom named Gloxinia which means love at first sight. As Caprice knocked on the door of a beautiful castle this man opened the door and said “How may I help you ma’am?” Caprice said, “I have come very far to run away from my mother and to find true love.” The man said, “My name is Prince Balint and I am the prince of this kingdom.” “So you are a prince, well it is nice to meet you Balint.” As Caprice stared at Balint she knew that she could not tell him that she is the princess of Austria. She didn’t want to scare him off. “My name is Caprice and it is so nice to meet you.”

 Caprice told Balint that she had run away from her home and didn’t know if she could ever go back. “Balint sir, I can not go back home because my mother wants me to marry someone so that I can be happy, but I told her I want to marry a man that I could love not someone that I don’t even know.” “Caprice I understand where you are coming from. My father wants me to get married but I do not want to get married. I dream of a big wedding and marring someone that I will love forever.” Prince Balint agreed to let Caprice stay at the palace for a few days until her mother finds her. The next day Caprice mother went to her room and found out that she was gone. She told the guards,” My daughter is not here at all she has run away. Go to the next kingdom to see if she is there.” The guards went on their horses and rode off very fast.

 It took the guards two days to find the kingdom. They went to the door of the castle and asked “Is princess Caprice here?” “There is no one by that name and I am so sorry you have come all this way.” The man shut the door and ran to call to Prince Balint. The man who answered the door was his father. “Balint son did you know that our guest is a princess. She is Princess Caprice. She has lied to you.” “But father I have only know her for three days. How do you know she is a princess?” “Two guards came to the door asking for her. I told them that there was no one by that name here so they left.” “I will have to kick Caprice out and let her find her way back home. “But father why?” “She is a liar and I can not have liars in this kingdom.”  Balint’s father kicked out the Princess and said, “You have lied to us and you shall never come back here again.” Caprice said, “I am so sorry I lied but I love your son.” “You don’t know my son.” “But from the moment I opened the door and he answered it I knew that he was the one.” Prince Balint father kicked the princess and she rolled down the stairs.  The two guards found her and took her home. Caprice’s mother said, “I have been worried about you ever since I found out you were missing.” “Oh mother I am so sorry but I met a wonderful Prince in the kingdom called Gloxinia. He is just wonderful mother and I know you will like him.” “I couldn’t careless about that Prince.” I knew his father and he was trying to make sure that you wouldn’t be the princess so he became king of another kingdom.”

 Two days passed.  “Father where is the princess?” “I must tell her that I love her and will marry her.” “I kicked her out two days ago.” “She might of went back home.” “But father I love her and will do anything to get her back.” “She is not welcome here and you will not marry her. “ “Father let me marry her for I love her.” “I dream of a big wedding filled with love.” “Fine… go and marry her.” The next week, Prince Balint married Princess Caprice and they lived happily ever after.  

Shopping Day

                   I usually never talk about my life and what I do but this day was a good one. I went to the legends in Kansas City, KS with my best friend.  She and I never get to hang out and do stuff. It was like a great day.  First we went to old navy because I wanted to look at their rock star jeans because they were only $19.00 plus I saw my favorite group of all time in the commercial. It is actually Backstreet Boys where they came out of a jute box. 
                   After that we just hung around and we went to a family owned pizzeria which was good. Then we went to Forever 21 to look around and I saw these cute summer dresses but they didn't have my size so no luck there but later when we went back I saw this cute fall dress that fit me perfectly and I bought it. 
                    All people really need in this world is a friend who can make you laugh and spend the whole day with you. After all of that we went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and looked at some cool display rooms. They had like different beds and living room and dinning rooms. When you were in each of the rooms it wanted to make you decorate your room like what they were showing.  My friend was even having herself and fake KU Basketball party and I was invited lol. We were in the KU display room. This how My day went.
